1/4/25: Short version - I do not know how to pronounce it, but I do know it is a very cool place! Very stylish, exceptionally clean, friendly staff, and some mighty fine beverages & treats. Nice sized shaded patio. I didn't notice if there were misters for the hot summer months, though. Definitely a place to visit again and again. Long version - we stopped in this particular Saturday a little bit before 4 pm. The first striking thing I noticed was the decor. Classy, colorful, and comfortable. It has a very welcoming vibe, as well. The gentleman at the counter was courteous and helpful with our questions, patient while we decided which tasty treats to purchase -- and there are a lot. With ASU being on holiday, it was not crowded. There were a few other people inside, with a small group enjoying the patio. As I was taking pictures, my eyes kept wandering to what they were eating. My curiosity got the best of me and I walked out to ask; it was a Nutella crepe. There were about five or six people sharing it and every single one them commented on how good it was. My sister ordered the red velvet latte, mine was the lemon breeze pomegranate. We both enjoyed them, but not as much as the sweets we ordered (ha ha): Bischoff cheesecake and Pistachio Croffle. Let me say I do not like cheesecake. It is too dense and rich, even for my sweet tooth. But their Bischoff cheesecake was nothing like that. It was light and airy, and although sweet, not sickeningly so. It was fantastic. My pistachio croffle was divine. A slight crisp on the outside, airy inside, and the pistachio mixture was mouthwateringly good. Another gentleman delivered everything to our table as they became available and was also very polite, laughing along with us when I said, "there's 5,000 calories on that plate there". LOL! The parking lot is not huge but there are two park-n-rides close by (one east across the street and another north). I am not a coffee drinker but it looks like they have plenty of alternatives, and my raging sweet tooth is very happy with their treats. We will definitely visit Shaghf Cafe again. And again.

I visited Shaghf while touristing in Tempe area! We ordered the large pistachio frappe and it was just phenomenal. It even had fresh pistachios in the drink. Can't get this good of a frappe at any other Yemeni cafe. It's worth the price! Additionally they had wonderful outdoor and indoor seating that was aesthetic and so relaxing.

We stopped in on Christmas Day since most coffee shops are closed, we had never heard of this cafe but very glad it was open. Very friendly and helpful staff in explaining the expansive menu, and huge dining area inside and out for hanging around or working. Great decor inside and very clean. Not to mention easy parking

Now this place.... 10/10!!!! The decor was very nice and unique, overall great ambience. I ordered the Turkish coffee and the lotus crepe and both were amazing. I was in town for work but will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area. Definitely a place to try!

Tried this place a while ago and didn't want to review my opinion but after checking it out and seeing other reviews agree with me, I am going to speak up as well. I went in for coffee and to try the viral Dubai chocolate. The price was way too high for a small piece of chocolate and honestly it was missing something, the pistachio flavor was just not there. I'm giving 4 stars because they have an interesting menu and there are other things I'd like to try before I say more. The service was great also!

I only had the Dubai Chocolate but I would definitely come back again for the coffee. Big space for studying. The chocolate was $9 and is taken out of the fridge. I let it sit for couple of minutes and the chocolate completely melted at room temperature. It is very tasty I must say. I'm glad I tried it but definitely a lot for $9

I stopped by Shaghf Cafe here in Tempe, AZ and tried their brownie drink. It was super rich and chocolatey, basically a dessert in a cup. If you've got a sweet tooth, you'd probably love it Food & Price The menu has a lot of interesting drinks, but they're definitely on the pricey side. Most of the items are around $6-$7.50, so it's not somewhere I'd go all the time. Location & Vibes The location is pretty unique, and the cafe itself is super aesthetic. The green chairs, gold lights, and modern decor give it a fancy, cozy vibe. It's a great spot to chill or even take some photos. The service was great, they were very kind and helpful Overall The drinks are a little expensive, but the design and vibe of the place make it worth checking out. I'd definitely go back to try something else from their menu

Shagaf is hands down my new go-to for Arab coffee. Dominique suggested I try the Habibi Latte, and wow--it was the perfect mix of rich coffee and subtle spices. But the real surprise? The Dubai chocolate. It's smooth, decadent, and melts in your mouth. Pairing it with the Habibi Latte was a game-changer. Dominique makes the whole experience even better, friendly, attentive, and somehow remembered my order when I came back. If you're in the mood for amazing coffee, delicious treats, and great vibes, Shagaf is the place to be.

Everything we had was delicious. We were pleased to have tried some middle eastern desserts. The pistachio & nutella crepes and Dubai chocolate were everything!!!

We stopped by Shaghf Cafe after eating at the nearby Kung Fu Kitchen and I'm glad I did! Did some research on their beautiful logo (photo below of it on a flowerpot) and it means passion or intense love. Pretty cool they brought this UAE based chain to Tempe bringing arabica coffee and Dubai culture! The service was friendly, ambiance was modern and excellent and they had live music to boot! The violinist really added to the Friday night vibes and we spent a nice evening talking and trying their Dubai chocolate which friends enjoyed and the baklava. Definitely want to come back to try their coffees. This is a great place to get some work done or chat with your friends!
